Active members shall be pharmacy technicians (to include those designated by their employment as pharmacy aides, pharmacy clerks, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technologists, supportive personnel) who are currently employed in a pharmacy setting.

Associate members may be individuals other than those who qualify as active members,  who by their contribution to pharmacy make themselves eligible for membership (ex. Pharmacist currently licensed and practicing in a pharmacy setting).

Student members may be individuals enrolled in approved pharmacy technician programs and pharmacy school.

Retired members shall be those members that have reached the age of 65 and are no longer working in the capacity of a pharmacy technician. At the time of retirement, the individual must have been an active AAPT member for at least one (1) year.
