This AAPT award is designed to recognize pharmacy technicians who are passionate about their career including their role in leading other pharmacy technicians in the workplace. Nominations can be submitted to AAPT’s national office between March 1 and April 30. Qualified nominees are reviewed by the AAPT Leadership Team & Executive Officers at their annual meeting held during the Annual National Convention.
One nominee will be chosen as the recipient and will receive the award at the Annual National Convention Awarding Ceremony. The nominee must be present to win. See past award recipients here Awards
Guidelines for Nominee Qualifications

- Nominee shall hold current position as a pharmacy technician and have a minimum of 3-years of pharmacy technician work experience.
- Nominee shall hold current Team Lead position with minimum of 1-year as a Team Lead or other qualified title used within the pharmacy facility of employ.
- AAPT membership is not required for nomination of this Award, although highly encouraged.

- Nomination requires:
1) A letter of support from nominee’s immediate supervisor.
2) A letter of recommendation from a pharmacy technician who is a team member with the team leader nominee.
3) A current resume or Curriculum Vitae of the nominee that details the minimum work experience qualifications for this Award.
4)A letter of desire from the nominee which includes a description of traits the nominee possesses which attributes to excellence in the Team Lead position.
